CAMERON RICHARDS | Director & Producer

Cameron is a Grierson longlisted filmmaker working across documentary, narrative and branded film. Their documentary WE'LL GO DOWN IN HISTORY, supported by the BFI and Doc Society, was selected for BFI Flare/British Council’s Five Films for Freedom campaign and reached more than two million viewers worldwide in ten days.

Recent work includes THE GENERATORS (dir. Georgie Cowan-Turner), supported by BFI Network, and THE SEA, starring Anna Friel and Russell Tovey, which screened at Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals worldwide in partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Cameron founded Lonely Kite as a home for independent filmmaking, developing documentary and narrative projects while producing commercial films for organisations including Coca Cola, Sainsbury’s and the Football Supporters Association.


They hold a Script Development Diploma from the National Film and Television School and works as a Development Executive at Anna Friel’s production company WonderWell Productions. They're an experienced editor working in DaVinci Resolve and Avid, and a self shooting director operating with a Sony FX3 package.
